Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 3 June 2025
Our Commitment
Lanna Paths is committed to making its website accessible to as wide a range of visitors as possible, including people using assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or browser zoom features. We aim to provide a clear, readable, and navigable experience for everyone who comes to this site.
This statement applies to the website at lannapaths.club.
Conformance Target
We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Measures We Have Taken
To support accessibility across this site, we have applied the following:
- Semantic HTML: Content is structured with appropriate landmark elements (
<header>,<main>,<footer>,<nav>) and heading levels, making it easier for screen readers to convey the layout. - Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — navigation links, buttons, form fields, and toggles — are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.
- Colour contrast: Text and interactive elements are styled to meet a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against their backgrounds, in line with WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Reduced-motion support: The site includes a
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. Visitors who have enabled reduced motion in their operating system settings will not see animated transitions. - Descriptive alt text: All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked appropriately.
- Labelled form fields: Every form input has a visible label associated via the
forattribute, so that form controls are announced correctly by assistive technologies. - Focus indicators: Focus states are visible on all interactive elements to assist keyboard and switch-device users.
- ARIA attributes: Dialog elements and interactive controls use appropriate ARIA roles and labels where native HTML semantics are insufficient.
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility may fall short of WCAG 2.1 AA:
- The Google Maps iframe embedded on the homepage is a third-party component. We do not control its internal accessibility and cannot modify it. We display a text alternative (full address) adjacent to the map.
- Images sourced from Lorem Picsum are placeholders and will be replaced by the content pipeline with properly alt-tagged images. Until that stage runs, alt text is descriptive but not tied to the actual image content.
We continue to review the site and address issues as they are identified.
